Good silver gauge and weight, this attractive silver sauce boat has a gadrooned perimeter rim enhanced by an elaborate scroll handle, topped with acanthus leaf detail. The sauce boat sits on three hoof feet with detailing connections to the body. Carrington's address is marked to the base, 130, Regents Street, London. The base is also marked with a full set of London assay marks showing the makers marks, sterling silver assay mark, London assay office leopard mark and the date mark of (q) for 1911.
This antique sterling silver sauce boat is in beautiful condition. The sauce boat sits flat and level, the feet are all straight and true. Surface marks representative of age. Assay marks are all legible with slight rubbing to all.
