George II antique sterling silver waiter or card tray by Dennis Wilks 1746.
Beautiful pie crust perimeter card tray form the early Georgian period. Circular in form with central engraved lion crest. Three hoofed feet with assay marks to base. Hallmarks comprise of makers mark, date letter, lion passant and London office mark. There are two sets of engraved initials to the underside of the waiter IT and TT, please see images for reference.
Georgian silver waiter or card tray is in fine condition. The patina is good with the tray surface having good tension. Details are all good with hand engraved crest having good definition. The waiter sits flat and level. Minor surface marks to tray face with surface marks representative of age. Assay marks are all good for age with slight rubbing, all decipherable.
