Sterling silver hot water pot by Martin Hall and Co Ltd 1951.
This George VI hot water pot is of substantial size. Tapered cylindrical form silver hot water pot. Circular domed lid with decorative finial, attached with external hinge. Scrolled ferrules with composite swan neck black handle with thumb rest. Tapered body with raised stepped circular base, sparrow beak design spout. Assayed with a full set of assay marks to main body and partial marks to inside of lid.
All in excellent condition. The silver pot is free from major dents and deep scratches. The lid hinge has the smallest of play with lid seating nicely in rebate. The handle is tight in ferrules with all retaining pins in good order, hot water jug sits flat and level. Assay marks to the lid are good, body marks rubbed but legible. Excellent designed hot water pot of quality and size.
