Antique sterling silver often needs some attention, whether your silver needs repairing, replacing damaged or worn parts, or sympathetically cleaning and regenerating. Here at Tarvier, we can advise and assist you with the appropriate solution. All antique silver is appraised, with consideration to the preservation of its characteristics and period assets.

As silversmiths and jewellers we must have our precious metal products tested for purity by an assay office when over a pacific weight, main parts added to a piece will be hallmarked by London assay office if required.
Two of the hallmarks will consist of our sponsors mark and the leopards head hallmark for London assay office.
Our lead time is around three weeks to complete your jewellery or antique silver repair or restoration. Larger and more complicated repairs can take longer.
We have introduced a fully tracked online repair service. Once your item of silver or jewellery has been received by Tarvier you will receive a login link. Our new tracking system will enable you to monitor the various stages of your jewellery or antique silver repair along with the invoice details and payment options, all to be completed prior to dispatch. Your interface will also give you Royal Mail’s tracking information when posted back.
